Afrykarium wroclaw

Amiga Jirafita went on a trip to Afrykarium in Wroclaw Zoo. This is a huge complex with water species from Africa. She enjoyed most smiling sting rays.

This is the most famoust building in Oslo - opera house. It is famoust because of its architecture - it is white and it looks like a big iceberg. But Jirafita enjoyed most walking on the rooftop.

At the seaside

Jirafita visiting Miedzyzdroje, Poland in Spring. This is not the weather warm enough to swim, but just right to spend lovely day on the beach.

Warsaw

Warsaw is the capital of Poland. And Palac Kultury is a must to see. The problem was, that during Jirafita's visit there, it was Easter holiday and everything was closed! Apart from that it was raining! Not much of a fun but anyway we did it.

Assembly

Another assembly Jirafita visited was in Warsaw in English language. She was warmly welcomed here as well. She sat on Zuzia's lap and was cuddled by Ester and show was listening to the program. During the break she talked with lots of friends and sometimes in Spanish.

New Family Member

Little about Us. Although I am single I am never lonely. It has happened that wherever or whenever I was living I always had my "adopted" family. Usually just close friends with whom i was spending time, talking, eating, playing with children, with whom I was going on holiday, trips and so on... I called them my 'adopted' family, but in one of them I was called prisoner. :) And as I brought Jirafita from Mexico with me, it was high time to introduce her to my friends. She was warmly welcomed!  Raspberry, whom I met when she was 3,5 years old, now 8 years older prepared for her  for her little present, small bag. Her Mum as usually baked fantastic cake and we spend lovely evening laughing, telling stories and watching our old photos. I love my friends dearly, and what amaze me is that strange feeling that I just walked out of their house yesterday, not 7 years ago! Girls were so tiny then... Anyway, one more word about friendship: it's lasting

Crying Jirafita

Jirafita is crying and I cannot help her. She is disappointed that she is not going to Africa. Poor her. She was expecting this with such a joy.

Traditional Polish meeting with friends

In some cultures, spending time with friends means going to the restaurant, share a meal or going to the cinema. 

Here in Poland we love playing board games. Fact is that we do not have TV otherwise instead of intellectual entertainment we could spend time brain-washing.

Jirafita is thinking that playing board games is more common in Europa than other continents. What do you think?

Assembly

All around the world Jirafita keep visiting assemblies  in different languages. This one was in Polish. Can you guess its title?

I should have done this in Madrid, but after jirafita got inspired we took some classes in Poland.

Other things...

Within a while everyone will start thinking that the only activity is eating... It is not true :( I must admit that THIS is one of the most important thing for Jirafita. But if we want be fair it is time to mention that during her first week in Poland she did renovation of her room painting all the bookshelves and rearranging the room, cleaning, segregating things and packing for her great trip to homeland: Africa and she did one more thing... I will mention it later!

Exploring

No wonder Jirafita's belly is bigger and bigger, exploring Polish restaurants and food shops and sweet shops  takes most of her time. Poor her!

Kluski

Kluski are noodles. Variety of things Polish people are capable of making from their cheese and potatoes are incredible. Those actually are called Kluski maniane, and are nice and soft and tasty with little sugar and butter

Taking a bath

Traveling makes everyone little dirty, so taking long bath with bubbles was very relaxing. (In Mexico bath tubes are not very popular).

Giraffe loves climbing the tree

I think this is quite unusual. I saw giraffes stretching a lot or even balancing on their two legs trying to reach nice green leaves in Africa. But this one... For her just sitting among the branches and relaxing seems to be fun. And only promise of nice chocolate or churro is able to make her go down.

Amazing Food in Madrid

Jirafita has discovered today Market with the most amazing food ever.
She wanted to try everything and couldn't decide what kind of tapas
she should eat first. That was crazy. Her stomach is just too small :(
But she liked Madroño liqueur very much, especially because after
drinking she could eat the cup.

Jamon bocadillos

In other words Ham sandwich.
Isn't it amazing that at the corner of the street there is a shop
selling sausages and ham in a bag as a street snack?
Jirafita couldn't resist this fresh sandwiches with Spanish Jamon.

Jet of Milk from María figure breast

We are in Prado Museum, Madrid watching different paintings. This one
we found extremely funny. Actually it ridicules all idol's worshipers.
So be careful, if you are praying before any idol, and accidentally
you are about to be saint... You may get jet of milk from the breast
or even worse.

What to do in Madrid in the evening?

Jirafita knows!
She watched flamenco and drank tiny little beer with some tapas.

With Jirafita we went to the local pub to enjoy Menu de Reyes, on the photo leek and mushroom soup, nice hot and warming... Perfect for outside weather, that is little rainy today.

Sleeping

Today we left Mexico! Travel by plane took us around 10 hours.
Jirafita was small enough to sleep comfortably at the tiny table on
the plane... I was trying to find some comfort folding in my seat.
